I have a number of domains, in 3 toplevels. As domain names are a LOT cheaper compared to, let's say, 10 years age, it's not uncommon to have more than 1 domain.
Obviously, this doesn't mean that every domain name has a website; they can be used for e-mail purposes, or they can just "sit" dormantly until the moment that the owner decides to do something with it.
